Chapter 05
05The Heart Behind the Journey
5.1Rooted in Family
Behind every ambitious purpose lies a source of strength that rarely appears in certificates. However far a career may reach, there are always people whose encouragement provides the confidence to take the next step. Their presence offers reassurance during doubt and perspective when responsibilities become overwhelming. They remind us that success carries greater meaning when it is shared with the people we love. Family has always been that source of strength in my life. Knowing that home remained a place of encouragement allowed me to focus on pursuing a vision that reaches beyond the present.
Among those who inspire me most are my children, and especially my young daughter. For me, she represents the future my work seeks to protect. What began as a career devoted to securing digital infrastructure gradually became a mission centred on preserving the freedom to think independently. My children became the reason, giving a deeply personal dimension to years of research and innovation. Another source of encouragement came from the people who worked alongside me. Trusted colleagues and dedicated team members shared both the challenges and the achievements, helping turn ideas into practical solutions.
Maintaining a balance between professional responsibilities and family life has always required conscious choices. Rather than allowing work to consume every part of my day, I have tried to simplify wherever possible. Clear priorities and careful planning created more space for the people who matter most. My philosophy of Invisible Engineering extends beyond technology; it also shapes the way I live. It has encouraged a life in which unnecessary complexity gives way to clarity, allowing me to be fully present both at work and at home.

5.2The Gift of Encouragement
Encouragement sometimes arrives exactly when it is needed most. One such moment came after I published my first book. I had invested countless hours shaping my ideas into words, never knowing how they would be received. My colleagues’ response exceeded every expectation. Their genuine appreciation and thoughtful comments became more than congratulations; they were a reminder that ideas have the power to inspire others when they are shared with honesty and purpose. That encouragement remains close to my heart, strengthening my belief that knowledge grows stronger when it is passed on.
If I had the chance to meet the young man standing at the beginning of his career, gratitude would be one of the first things I would express. I would thank him for refusing to take shortcuts. Choosing the harder path of understanding technology from its foundations required patience. At times, that decision may have seemed unnecessarily difficult. Yet those experiences provided knowledge that proved invaluable. The confidence that comes from understanding systems from end to end became one of my greatest strengths.
Even the most demanding responsibilities need moments of pause. After hours spent solving complex problems and making difficult decisions, I deliberately step away from the digital world. Screens are switched off, and a pair of headphones becomes a welcome companion. The surrounding noise gradually fades, creating space to recover the clarity the next day will require. These simple moments of disconnection remind me that peace is found through knowing when to slow down.
5.3The Essence of Legacy
“I measure legacy by the freedom the next generation inherits.”
Behind the complexity of technology and zero-trust architectures stands a simple human motive. “Fawzooz” is far more than a name; my daughter invented it spontaneously during a passing conversation between us. I took that name, coined in her innocence, and made it the title of my first book and the umbrella for my entire vision and initiative, because the digital world we are building today is the legacy she and her brother will grow up in tomorrow. And while my daughter always reminds me of the future we must protect, my son reminds me of the value of curiosity and the freedom to explore; I see in him an extension of my own spirit and passion, but with his own distinct mark and interests.
Fawzooz began as a storytelling series on social media, where I simplified psychological concepts and ways of handling life’s pressures, in an attempt to unravel the complexity of the human sciences and return them to a language people understand in their ordinary day. The idea then widened until it became a community initiative for storytelling across all the sciences, resting on a single conviction: that the hardest knowledge becomes close at hand when it is told as a story. That initiative led me to write more than twenty books across the fields in which I have standing, ten of them in artificial intelligence and security.
My first book on artificial intelligence, “Awakening Intelligence: A Journey into the World of Artificial Intelligence”, was an attempt to present the field to non-specialists in a human language that neither intimidates them nor flattens the subject. I did not expect its echo to travel beyond the circle of interested readers, until the Egyptian newspaper Al-Masaa reviewed and presented it in March 2025, describing it as a distinctive and valuable book. That carried a meaning for me beyond publicity: for a general newspaper to turn towards a book on artificial intelligence means the question is no longer the engineers’ alone, but a public matter — and that is exactly what I had hoped writing would achieve.

5.4The Wise AI Ambassador
Because I believe knowledge is complete only when it turns into practice and impact, my ambition did not stop at writing and publishing. From there I founded the “Wise AI Ambassador Program” — an established methodology and a complete educational system of six degrees and thirty-four units, designed to move a participant from a mere consumer of technology to someone who holds an initiative and a position in the fields of artificial intelligence, its security, and its governance. I made it an endowed journey, open to all with no prerequisites and no fees, seeking only the face of Allah, and it is the practical instrument for spreading the concept of awakening intelligence.
What makes this programme singular is its radical departure from the traditional frameworks of technology education. While most programmes are content to teach how to use tools or to chase the latest algorithms, the Wise AI Ambassador Program focuses on building cognitive immunity: each degree closes on a single tangible outcome, not merely on finishing the units. The distinctiveness of the method lies in its unprecedented integration of technical understanding, cognitive security, and human dynamics. It does not simply instruct the learner in how to interact with the machine, but in how to protect the independence of their decision and their human judgement during that interaction. I designed this programme to serve as a compass that establishes a critical mindset capable of harnessing artificial intelligence wisely, turning technology from a force that controls the course of work into a pliable tool that strengthens human sovereignty and freedom.
5.5The Six Degrees of the Journey
I built the journey as six degrees, each one standing on the one before it, and the next opening only once the participant has passed the previous gate. Each degree takes two weeks — one for reading, one for the gate — so the whole journey runs twelve weeks:
1 — You Are Here: it does not begin with technology but with correcting one’s picture of reality and locating exactly where one stands. Gate: a colour-coded assessment matrix and a signed contract.
2 — The Foundation: how the machine learns, how models “think,” and why they err. Gate: a one-page explanation in the participant’s own words.
3 — Practical Mastery: to commission rather than to ask, to engineer context, and to build one’s own knowledge assistant. Gate: a documented professional deliverable the participant has verified.
4 — Protection: information security, model security, and cognitive security in a single line of defence. Gate: a red-team report and a cognitive shield plan.
5 — Governance and Resilience: turning personal judgement into an institutional system — policy, standards, and a measurable baseline. Gate: an approved policy and a UCSMM assessment.
6 — Innovation, Leadership and Legacy: to make what did not exist, and to pass on what one has learned. Gate: a launched initiative and a handover document.
Because no two paths begin in the same place, the entry point differs with the person: the beginner walks the natural order; the technically experienced professional moves early to what concerns cognitive security; the leader or manager starts in practice at the third degree; the entrepreneur brings the sixth forward. One rule holds throughout: no one is granted skill by reading alone.

Had life taken me in a different direction, I believe I would also have become a builder. The materials might have been steel, stone, and concrete rather than networks and intelligent systems, but the purpose would have remained similar. I have always been drawn to designing structures that withstand the test of time. Whether creating physical buildings or digital environments, the underlying philosophy has never changed: good design should make people feel safe without drawing attention to itself. Away from technology, nothing compares to watching my daughter and son discover the world with wonder. Those everyday moments offer a perspective no professional achievement could replace.
Years of experience have also reshaped my understanding of balance. Peace does not appear by chance; it grows from the choices we make every day. A fulfilling life requires the willingness to let go of what adds unnecessary complexity while making room for what genuinely matters. By simplifying my work, I found that ambition and contentment need not compete. Some experiences change the direction of a career; others change the way a person sees the world. Becoming a father did both. Holding my children in my arms gave a perspective no professional achievement could have provided.
Life, however, does not unfold without moments of uncertainty. When circumstances become difficult, panic was never my first response. I pause, separate the essential from the unnecessary, and focus my attention on what can be strengthened. Once the foundation is secure, the path forward becomes easier to see. Beneath this way of thinking lies a value that continues to guide many of my decisions: I cherish the freedom to think independently. In my view, protecting freedom is one of the greatest responsibilities any individual can take on, especially in a world where technology continues to influence daily life in increasingly subtle ways.
People see the successful deployment of major initiatives, and they see the milestones that mark a distinguished career, but what remains hidden are the countless hours of preparation. I believe many of the most challenging moments unfolded when few people were watching. Those invisible chapters shaped my character as deeply as the moments of celebration. They reminded me that meaningful achievements are rarely built in the spotlight. Perhaps that is why I have always been drawn to the idea of invisible engineering; some of the most valuable work happens where people rarely think to look.
“He engineered invisible shields so that we could navigate the future with a secure mind.”
